At BraapExpert, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and services. By using BraapExpert, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Information
When you register for an account, we collect your email address and any profile information you choose to provide, such as your country and region.
2.2 Bike & Garage Data
We store information about your motorcycles, including manufacturer, model, year, engine hours, and suspension settings. This data is essential for providing personalized tuning and maintenance recommendations.
2.3 Payment & Subscription Data (Premium Users)
BraapExpert offers optional Premium features via Google Play In-App Purchases. While we do not process or store your credit card details directly, we collect transaction information such as transaction ID, purchase date, and subscription status provided by Google Play to grant you access to Premium features.
3. Location Data and Permissions
BraapExpert offers ride tracking features that require GPS location data.
User Consent: The app will only access location data if you explicitly grant permission through the Android system dialog.
Background Location Tracking: To provide accurate ride statistics including speed, distance, elevation, and mapping, BraapExpert may collect location data even when the app is closed or not in use in the background. This is necessary because riders typically place their phone in a pocket or backpack during a session.
Operational Limit: Location data is only collected when you have manually started a "Ride Tracking" session and stops immediately when you end the session. We do not track your location outside of active ride sessions.
4. How We Use Your Data
- To calculate maintenance intervals for your motorcycles.
- To provide AI-powered suspension tuning suggestions.
- To generate GPS maps and statistics for your ride history.
- To manage your Premium subscription and access levels.
- To notify you of critical maintenance tasks.
5. Data Sharing & Security
We do not sell, rent, or lease our customer lists to third parties.
Your data is securely stored using Google Firebase. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account is active.
In-App Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time via the Profile/Settings page within the app.
Effect of Deletion: Upon account deletion, all personal data, garage info, and ride history are permanently removed from our active databases in compliance with Google Play policies and GDPR.
7. Children's Privacy
Our Services are not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
